Model Calls: Be Part of a Soft Story
I’m opening these model calls to families who want to co-create something heartfelt and intentional with me.
I’m drawn to people who enjoy preparing for a session, who like choosing simple pieces that feel true to them, and who find a little joy in shaping the atmosphere we’ll photograph. It doesn’t have to be elaborate, just thoughtful. A touch of care, a willingness to dream together, and an openness to let the magic of the moment settle in. If that sounds like you, I’d love to build these stories side by side.
What is a model call?
A model call is an invitation to create a very specific story together. It’s a session I offer either free of charge or at a heavily reduced fee, because I’m exploring a new idea or building part of my portfolio. I’m looking for families who feel happy to collaborate on simple styling and a little preparation so we can shape the mood with intention. These sessions are gentle, thoughtful, and created with the understanding that the images will be shared.
What is a model release?
It’s a short agreement that gives me permission to share the photographs from our session for portfolio use, including social media, my website, competitions, and printed work.
Home Birth Story - Model Call
Home birth is a direction my work keeps gently tugging me toward. It’s something I’ve wanted to document for a long time, and this would be only my second birth to photograph. I may cry behind the camera, but I promise I’ll keep clicking.
I’m looking for someone who feels genuinely excited about having their journey documented. Someone who truly wants to remember it all. The raw, the real, the beautiful. The quiet shifts between contractions, the way the room softens around you, and the fierce, steady power that carries you through the pain you survive and transform.
If you’re within approximately 30 minutes of Swadlincote and open to a little gentle guidance around light, I’d love to hear from you. I may bring a small light source, but I keep everything unobtrusive. I’m there to witness, not to direct. You lead the rhythm; I blend into the background and stay almost invisible.
When the time comes, I’ll be on call and ready to join you. I stay through active labour, the birth itself, and roughly the first hour afterwards, gathering those first moments too.
You will receive around 30 carefully edited photographs.
This is a model call. A signed model release is required, and full permission to publish the images is part of the agreement. Please apply only if you are fully comfortable with your birth story being shared.
Mother + Baby Bath Session - Model Call
I’m dreaming up a soft, intimate bath session in your home - warm water, gentle shadows, and that skin-to-skin closeness that feels so honest in early motherhood. This session is for a parent and baby (around 6 to 10 months) and will involve a little covered nudity if it feels right, but nothing fully exposed - just enough skin for the connection to feel natural and warm.
My vision is simple and unhurried: a calm, minimal look that allows us to focus on the closeness between you and your baby. Think soft bottoms and an uncovered upper body, or whatever variation feels most comfortable while keeping that tender, skin-to-skin feeling.
I’m looking for a parent who loves the idea of creating something intentional together, and who has a naturally lit bathroom with moody, soft light rather than bright or clinical light. A little styling and preparation will help us shape the atmosphere so the images feel as gentle and timeless as the moment itself.
The creative fee is £75 and includes the full gallery (usually around 30 edited images).
A signed model release is required.

Tandem Breastfeeding Session - Model Call
I tandem breastfed for about a month, and the only photos I have from that time are of me crying - partly from overwhelm, partly from love, mostly because I knew the moment wouldn’t last. I wanted so badly to remember it, and now I wish someone had photographed it for me in a way that felt tender and true.
That’s why I’d love to create this session for another family.
I’m looking for a parent nursing a newborn and an older baby/child, someone who wants this chapter remembered with honesty and softness. We’ll plan a simple colour palette and styling so the focus stays entirely on the connection between you.
The creative fee is £75 and includes the full gallery (usually around 30 edited images).
